HAZMAT
The Hazardous Materials Endorsement Threat Assessment Program conducts a security threat assessment (background check) for any driver seeking to obtain, renew and transfer a hazardous materials endorsement on a state-issued commercial driver’s license.
PLEASE NOTE: You will need to visit your local Department of Motor Vehicles for HAZMAT application and fingerprinting information in the following states: Florida, Kentucky, Maryland, New York, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia and Wisconsin.
*Reduced rate for comparability: $67.
Reduced rate applicant must already possess a valid TWIC® card and be licensed in a state that supports comparability with the TWIC® threat assessment. Please note, if you select the reduced rate, your HME expiration date will align with the comparable credential’s expiration as well as individual state policies related to expiration.
You should apply if you have a state-issued CDL and are required to transport materials that require placarding under the Department of Transportation hazardous materials regulations. Learn more about HAZMAT.
